Bayou Wildlife Park in Alvin is a little bit of safari adventure right here in Texas. The park’s owner, Clint Wolston, has been collecting exotic animals to preserve for over 20 years, turning his 80-acre park into an outstanding attraction. The warm South Texas woods and prairie are just like home for 400 different animals representing 40 different species.

The guided tram tour gives visitors the chance not only to see, but also to feed and interact with animals and birds from Africa, India, Asia, Australia, and North and South America. Watch the animals and birds run free in Bayou Wildlife Park as you listen to the experienced guides give an exciting presentation about these fascinating creatures.

Feed the animals at designated areas and make sure that you follow all directions that the guide gives you. Even though the animals live inside a park, they are still wild and may have an unpredictable reaction if you were to do something ill-advised, like get out of the tram. Make sure you bring your camera for this once-in-a-lifetime chance to get animal pictures like these. You won’t get a better photo opportunity unless you take an actual safari to Africa.
