Location: 7705 FM 362, Brookshire
Dewberry Farm is a 100 acre working farm located
just west of Katy on Highway 362. The farm features a 8 acre corn maze and a 16
acre pick-your-own pumpkin patch but there are tons of other fun things to do. The
barnyard is full of farm animals including goats, donkeys, horses, pigs, chickens,
ducks, guineas, turkeys, a baby calf and geese.
Little Farmersville is an area just
for kids 6 and under
that has pedal tractors and tricycles, swings, rocking horses,
spring horses, slides, and a big sand box. The rubber duck races and the Singing
Chickens are great fun for one and all.
Fire pits are available for rental to groups
with reservations. Rascal’s Roundup has a corn cannon, pedal race carts, a giant
roller slide, human size gerbil wheels, the Farmer Flinger merry-go-round, the longest
barrel train in Texas, and the ever popular hay mountain. Tractor pulled hayrides
take you to the pumpkin patch or just for a ride around the farm. There are at least
15 varieties of pumpkins, gourds, and squash to choose from. Families have made
it a tradition to come to Dewberry Farm every fall to find their pumpkin.
The corn
maze is a great adventure for the young and old. A new design every year challenges
you to find your way through the giant maze with over 3 miles of paths. At night
the maze takes on a completely different ambience which can be quite spooky on dark
nights. Zeke’s BBQ has delicious roasted corn, brisket sandwiches, and sausage-on-a-stick,
and hot dogs on the weekends and Friday evenings.
The Country Store has decorative
items and toys with a country flair along with wonderful canned vegetables and fruits,
and fresh pecans. Open October and November to the public on weekends and to groups
with reservations Monday through Friday . School field trips are also available
during the month of April when the Hamburger Farm is featured.
A large 7,000 square
foot pavilion is available for rental year around for corporate parties, family
reunions, wedding receptions, quinceaneras, or other group functions. |
