Location: Toyota Center, 1510 Polk Street, Houston
Houston Rockets basketball is
more exciting than ever thanks to the addition of some more NBA All-Star players
in the off-season. Thanks to their improved play, the Rockets have returned to the
playoffs and will hopefully continue that trend.
If you are in town during basketball
season, you should check out the action at the Toyota Center, the beautiful new
home of the Rockets downtown. The Toyota Center is also home to Houston’s own multiple-championship-winning
WNBA team, the Houston Comets, as well as the American Hockey League Houston Aeros.
If you are in town on a non-game day, you should think about going on a free public
tour. On the tour, you can see what it is like to work in a 19,000-seat arena and
go places you would never get to go as a spectator. See the extremely posh luxury
suites and tour the Red and White Bistro, the Toyota Center’s gourmet restaurant.
At a Rockets game, kids will love Clutch, the cuddly gray bear that is the Houston
mascot. See the high-flying, runnin’, gunnin’, slam-dunking, in-your-face action
of Houston Rockets basketball and experience a thrill like no other. |
