 Six Flags Astro World

Location: 9001 Kirby Dr., Houston

Six Flags AstroWorld is an amusement park that your family will love to visit. There are thrilling roller coasters, carnival attractions, kids’ activities and shows that everyone will enjoy. If you think you might go to the theme park more than once, or if you live near another Six Flags park, you may want to consider a season pass. If you buy a family four-pack of season passes, you get free admission to all Six Flags parks. Visitors most favorite rides at Six Flags AstroWorld are the Texas Cyclone, an old-fashioned wooden roller coaster, Batman: The Escape, in which you are standing up during the ride, and Diablo Falls, a ride that takes you right into the whitewater action of heavy rapids.

For the short set, there is the Looney Tunes Town featuring nine kid-and-parent approved rides. Don’t miss the Dentzel Carousel, an original 1895 wooden carousel. The Mayan Mindbender is also a fun ride, and waiting times sometimes are longer than 30 minutes. If you’ve ridden Space Mountain at Disney World, it’s kind of like that. Free with your admission is admission to WaterWorld, the water park next door with lots of wet, wild waterslide action.
