Children’s
Museum of Houston
Location: 1500 Binz, Houston
Time: Tue-Sat 9am-5pm, Sun 12pm-5pm
The Children’s Museum of Houston is consistently rated one of the top 5
children’s museums in the United States. This is
due to the wide variety of fun, interactive, educational exhibits for your kids,
the friendly staff and the safe opportunities for play.
Play is
how kids learn and there is plenty of it at this museum. They can play and learn
about bubbles in the Bubble Lab, play with water in the Babbling Bayou, and
create unique Expressions in the open-air art studio. The Farm to Market
exhibit allows kids to be shoppers, stockers, and cashiers at a working grocery
store, or work down on the “farm” where all the goodies come from.
In
KID*TV, your kids can see behind the scenes of a television studio and try their
hand at being the next Dan Rather or Connie Chung. In the
Mexican Village exhibit, kids can learn about the culture in a Mexican mountain
village, and if you are lucky, they will get to learn interesting crafts or hear
a live mariachi band.
Do you
have a toddler with you? The Tot Spot provides fun, safe stimulating activities
for kids two and under. If you are traveling with kids, the Children’s Museum of
Houston is a don’t miss attraction.
