Stewart Beach

Location: 6th and Seawall Blvd, Galveston
Time: Mon-Fri 8am-6pm, Sat-Sun 8am-7pm

Stewart Beach is the most family-oriented beach on Galveston Island. Not only can you do everything that beaches usually offer, like sand castle building, sunning, and swimming, but there are other attractions as well.

Throughout the summer, concerts are offered, as well as volleyball tournaments and other fun activities. 

There is a terrific playground for the kids when they get bored with playing on the beach. Also, there is a full-size maze (Amaze’N Texas) and the Neptune’s Kingdom miniature golf course inside Stewart Beach available for your family entertainment.

If you forget your lawn chairs, there is chair rental available as well as umbrella rental. You will appreciate the concession stands, restrooms and showers for washing off all the sand at the end of your day.

Stewart is by far the cleanest, nicest public beach on Galveston Island, and absolutely worth the parking fee. There are a few free beaches at Galveston, but they are also the same beaches where people go horseback riding, and they are not always clean, if you catch my drift.
