Houston’s Little Red Riding Hood puts the classic tale front and center at this outdoor stage. The wolf gets a whiff of the goodies Little Red Riding Hood is carrying to her grandmother’s house, and things get dicey from there.
He tries everything he can think of to get them from her, using his wily ways to trick her into giving him her grandmother’s treats. While we all know the story, it’s still great fun to watch, especially through the eyes of a child you know.
The performance is part of a larger series which begins on August 1 with Freedom Train, followed on consecutive days by Three Billy Goats Gruff and Folkloric Dreams, and ending with this kids’ favorite.
If you can take in all the shows, great, but if not, this is a great one to make plans for.
