Pasadena’s Strawberry Festival is three days of fruit and fun just a short drive from Houston’s bustling streets. All three days include a carnival, the world’s biggest strawberry shortcake and other fun attractions such as the Children’s Pavilion and arts and crafts. You’ll find live entertainment as well as a barbecue cook off. If that hasn’t sold you, nothing will!

The fun continues with the Berry Beach Run, a beauty pageant, mud volleyball and a parade. Kids will love the frog jumping championship, a new addition this year. Wander around and see it all throughout the three days of strawberry fun. You can get your fill of shortcake, see some magic from Mike T., the Mad Hatter of Magic and check out Rusty the Boy Robot.

This is a family-friendly event through and through, with a wealth of fun stuff for all ages and some good food and toe-tapping music to add to the festivities. In the children’s entertainment area, you’ll find free games, a petting zoo, pony rides and historical craft demonstrations. This is a weekend your kids will want more of—no boredom here. Make a getaway of it and your kids will give you strawberry kisses for sure.
