Put on those Cajun dancin’ shoes and prepare to tap your toes to some of the best of zydeco music’s stars as the Kemah Boardwalk hosts its 5th annual Zydeco Festival. Get set on Saturday to hear Dora and the Zydeco Badboys from 12 to 6 p.m. and from 7-11 p.m., Lady D and the Zydeco Tornados will be on tap, along with the best Cajun food this side of the swamp served in the Boardwalk’s lineup of restaurants…and the whole family will want to make time to enjoy the carnival-style rides the Boardwalk is famous for.
On Sunday, have lunch at the Boardwalk and be in time for Texans Day as well as Barry Badon and the Bayou Boys, performing from noon to 4 p.m. and then stay for a good times show from The Zydeco Dots, scheduled from 6-10 p.m.
You’ll also have plenty of time to shop the Boardwalk’s retail stores and to enjoy the festival atmosphere that’s sure to keep you busy for most of the afternoon.
